Great location from mount st michel and very comfortable bed and room size.Great coffee and supermarket across the street which is hand as well as restaurants.
Great location. Short walking distance to Mt. Saint Michel itself. Restaurants & grocery store across the street, including Brioche Doree for pastries. Rooms were very large. Staff had power adapters at front desk for American electronics (items which could tolerate 220v, but had wrong plug).
Google maps placed it on wrong side of the street, so it took us a while to find it. It was the most American of the 10 hotels we stayed in -- for better and worse. Finish of rooms was like a Travel Lodge in us. Solid and plain. Not really a dislike, just a note.
Staff is helpful, room is clean. The location is good, right at the bus stop (from / to Pontorson) and only about 30 mins walk to Mont Saint Michel. The restaurant right next to the hotel provides good choices for dinner.
The room was small, not good value for money. It likes a motel and plenty of two star hotels nearby would be cheaper.
Hotel location is close to all facilities, just cross the road is supermarket, the bus stop in front of hotel and a few nice restaurants nearby.
The receptionist was very helpful giving info about the surrounding area and possible visit locations
The room was clean and tidy and the location was perfect for a late night trip to Mont Saint Michel. There was a supermarket just across the street and many restaurants nearby. There was a large window in our room that overlooked a nice grassy area. We picnicked inside our room and enjoyed a very nice overnight stay. Very good price for the location. This is not the hotel choice for someone wanting a cozy, elegant hotel. It's clean and functional and has a great location in the little town outside Mont St. Michel, but zero charm. This is all we were looking for, so it served our needs precisely.
Location was great to see Mont San Michel. Also the rooms were large and the Bathroom was very good. Lots of parking space. A supermarket was right in front with a few other cafes. However everything around the are is a bit expensive. Despite some reviews about Mont San Michel being a tourist trap, we enjoyed it, especially the little shop on the Island itself. You can get a good deal for a meal in some of the restaurants on the Island.
Nothing to compalin. The room rate was the highest we paid on our holiday. A bit too pricy I think. The satnav directions took us to a place about a mile away from the hotel. Just keep going towards mont sam michel and you cant miss it.
The location of the motel was excellent. Had everything my family needed.
Maids were very loud in the early morning and scrapped their carts along the wall while pushing thier carts down the hall.We had dinner at the motels resturaunt, and it was excellent. The food was great, but it got a bit crowded and then became under staffed. We had to wait 45 minutes for dessert. We got up to leave, but was told it would be only 2 more minutes, which stretched out to another 10. So we got up to leave again, only to have our dessert delivered, but it turned out to be wrong the dessert, and there we no amends made. Dissapointed!
Comfort, clean and convenient
The restaurant attached to the hotel and part of the same organisation Le Pre Salé is terrible. The food is almost inedible, it is expensive and the service very slow.
A really comfortable bed. Rooms were lovely and clean, with a classy, modern decor. Staff were friendly and had good knowledge of English. It was in a really good location for the town/restaurants. And of course the main highlight-Mont St Michel. It was a 2km walk to the Abbey, so you needn't take your car. There are a lot of stairs when you reach the Abbey, so keep this in mind if travelling with children or the elderly and walking there from the hotel. On the whole ideal!
Great location, ensure you drive all the way to the hotel because you can park there for free vice parking in the pay lot quite a ways away. Just ensure you call them or coordinate for the parking code to get into the gate prior to arrival.
Old outdated rooms.
The close access to Mont St Michel was a factor in us choosing to stay. The quality of the service and the food in the restaurant was excellent - one of the best meals we have had in France
Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants, nice restaurant and bar on-site. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Nice hotel for families and the staff speaks English and was very helpful. Free shuttle to Mont St Michel down the road a bit, and the bus stop for buses to other towns is right at the sidewalk in front of the hotel.
Location,Location,Location Excellent quality breakfast
Hotel Restaurant is fully closed at 9:00 pm - even for a snack. When visiting the highly-promoted night tours at Mont St Michel, it is impossible to do a tour , and come back- even for a snack or room service. Fortunately we had a car and drove several miles to a town with a bar and bought a "croque monsieur" at 9:40 pm . Not very sufficient for the high price we invested in the trip.
Well located and within walking distance to Mont Saint Michel. An excellent restaurant with very good service and food.
Very expensive for their facilities - little more than a motel and yet it claims to be 4 star. No laundry facilities which we always expect in a 4 star hotel. Room was very small and the layout of the hotel is exactly like a motel. Breakfasts were adequate but again not what is general practice in a 4 star hotel anywhere else!
